On November 9, Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov received Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Ingibjorg Gisladottir, who is visiting Moscow.
The sides underlined the need to improve ODIHR's electoral methodology and practices, in particular, through establishing consistent rules for observers in all OSCE member states. ODIHR's humanitarian activities were also discussed. The Russian party urged the ODIHR to put more emphasis on the language and education rights of ethnic minorities in European countries and a non-politicised approach to human rights.
