Press release on Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko’s meeting with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger
On June 26, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko met with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger on the sidelines of the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference in Vienna.
The officials emphasised the role of the OSCE as a platform for an equitable and mutually respectful dialogue on current European security issues, and the importance of developing its potential in combating transnational threats. They discussed OSCE’s contribution to the settlement of conflicts in the east of Ukraine, in Transnistria and Nagorno-Karabakh, its work within the Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the South Caucasus, and certain aspects of work of OSCE field missions and institutions – the ODIHR, the HCNM and the Representative on Freedom of the Media.
